Can you reuse my existing line set?
Sometimes, and we would genuinely rather reuse it when it earns the call: correct diameter for the new equipment, good physical condition, and no contamination history. Lines that are kinked, undersized, corroded, or attached to a system that died of compressor failure get replaced, because protecting a new system with a compromised artery is a false economy. My mini split is twelve years old and needs a board. Replace instead?
